• Eat Less ( especially at dinner), treat food as medicine
  • Eat slowly and take very small bites & try to chew each bite 32 times
  • Cut down refined, processed, salt and sugar
  • Use cold-pressed oils, don’t use the same oil for frying more than twice
  • Increase fruits and vegetables in your diet
  • Eat whole grains and millets
  • Add and deduct Color to food – Add the red, orange and green color (include food item of each color), minus white colors like sugar, salt and refined flour.
  • Avoid fried food and open salad outside especially at street vendors
  • Start your meal with soup, lassi, or diluted vegetable soup or a plateful of fresh salad.
  • Drink a good amount of water, make water your drink of choice, avoid RO Water
  • Avoid microwave, aluminum, plastic and non-stick utensils, use glass and steel.
  • Do fast once a week or fortnight
  • Avoid smoking and too much alcohol
  • Moderation is the key, anything in excess is poison
  • Take 8 hours of sleep, be healthy mentally, sit in silence for a few minutes
  • Exercise daily, even for 1 – 5 minutes, do exercise whereever, whatever and whenever, don’t wait for the golden 1 hour or 30 minutes which you will never get. Integrate exercise into lifestyle
  • Don’t sit for longer than 1 hour, move, move and keep moving
  • At the end of the day lying in bed keep your legs at 90 degrees with a wall support for 5 – 10 minutes
  • Avoid mobile, too much TV and internet
  • Laugh a lot, be social( not social media !), take a hobby, play musical instruments, make friends and spend time with them, help others
  • Bring a smile on someone’s face, spend time with parents, kids, and seniors
  • Don’t be a strict disciplinarian, breaking the rules sometimes is fine, you need to build some funny memories which you can remember later and laugh.
  • Love your family and friends more than your work, take a break and go for an outing in natural environments with family and friends.
  • And last but not least LOVE yourself, and never compare yourself with others, you have something unique which others don’t.
